There are a thousand ways to die and only one way to survive. And that one way of surviving is knowing a thousand ways to die.

A drowzy sensation took over the mind and soul, hindering any actions to succeed in this decisive survival of the strongest. A dream, perhaps?
First one, then ten, and then hundreds of them, each individual's hope collapsing to the blood-stained floor of the battlefield and tracing back to one point of origin. Fierce cries of of the damned flew across the immediate area, from the center of the conflict all to the way to where the lone wolf runs up to the sloped cliff and bays, praying to beautiful spirit that is the full moon.

With such beauty gracing this land, how can there ever be such a tragedy taking place? This wasn't a calm dream. This was a truly horrible nightmare. From all corners of the earth the dead scolded the living, death reigned supreme, and staying alive was a non-existent fact. For many ages God belittled us for our crimes, for our creation of this dreadful sport. This was the art of war.

Bodies flew in all directions, debris crushing everything in its path, and shrapnel lodging into the limbs of the unfortunate. Several men lay beside a boulder, breathing heavily, attempting to reload their weapons. Cracks and spills of the taboo red liquid painted the field of battle as if it were the will of the devil. The soldier turned his head and looked around, adjusting his vision by squinting. A final tap to his weapon and another round had begun amongst the others taking place. It was there that he saw it.

The tallest building in the city.

The central building stood plainly in harm's way, taking many hits, refusing to fall until the last man standing dropped dead to the ground and and blood splashed upon the brown grass surrounding it.

Thousands of black warriors of hell surrounded the building, engaging with the cursed enemy and roaring for their own cause: survival.

From all sides of the city, hordes of xenomorph rose from the sewage system and erupted onto the scene of battle, attacking in blind fury and to pleasure themselves. Several groups had already gone down, but no matter how much the humans tried, there was no end to their species. Only a beginning in their fateful advent.

Kill them! Kill them all or I shall have your head!

Those words popped into Bloo's mind and caused a sudden ache in the joints. A silver claw pinned into the ground scraped its rough surface with ease. It shall be done my Queen. A petite drone residing next to the fierce leader gazed at the top of the building with mouth wide open. What do you see, young one?

Nothing.

Come, your safety is second to none! I will have you stay in a chamber at the outskirts of the city and I will return here to see to this fight. When I return...

It didn't like thinking of the alternative.

...when I return, we will greet our sacred Queen Mother with news of our winning this war. Now let us go.

It had taken just an hour to reach a safe point away from the battles. From here you must leave me. Go underground and run to safety. I will know where you are. The small drone with its uneven balance strided along the side of the buildings and ran into a pipe, leaving no trace of it ever being there.

BOOM.

Orange light enshrouded the entire area and flames engulfed a single building. The central building? No. It was another. What could this mean? Victory or defeat? Bloo raced back to the central building in hopes of victory. Casualties were of no concern to this one.

Carmine looked away from his Commander as the "Waffle" started up its engines. Then came an unexpected call from Vevlaa, the pilot of the dropship. He sat there for a moment, watching as people trooped into it. He watched it for a second longer, and slammed his fist into his thigh. He looked back at his Commander, who gave him the signal to jump onto the dropship. "Shit!" he shouted, picking up all the equipment and weapons he'd placed on the floor. He ran over to the dropship as fast as he could, jumping into it just before it started to lift off.

He sat down inside the dropship, as close as he could to the hatch. He was just now closing up his survival pack and strapping the grenade launcher back in place. He had almost dropped everything when he was running up to the ship... He managed not to, though. He felt like he shouldn't have jumped in, but he did get the order to. That was fine, he just wanted to shoot something already. He'd yet to even see any enemies on foot. Just a bunch of ships and pods.

He took a deep breath, cutting the external audio as he did so. He stared straight down at his armored boots, which were now scuffed up, muddy, and a bit charred. When he'd started the day, they were good as new. He then looked up at the bulkhead, drumming his fingers on his thigh armor for a moment before being lost in thought.

He was hoping he'd be able to encounter one of the dreadlocked freaks and take them down. He had an oath he'd sworn to defend, and the only way of doing that was taking out every last freak he found. He'd yet to take down one, and was getting impatient over it. He pulled out his journal once more, along with the pencil. He had grown up as a survivalist, and that involved killing. So it made sense for him to have a bloodlust. He did not, however, expect it to be as strong as it was.

He switched over to the external audio. "Vevlaa, you might consider dropping us off at the building and letting us hold off there for as long as possible. That way you don't have to sit around. A huge dropship's not exactly invisible," he said loudly so that he could be heard clearly. "If you sit around for too long, the Preds might try something to take you out. So you should probably keep moving. But you outrank me, so it's your call." He really hoped that he took the suggestion. The second the dropship stopped, it'd probably start taking fire and have every enemy moving in on it.

'Ah, the sky is relentless' Thought slayer as, once again, the night lit up above him. This time a dropship soared into view. It was flying to high for him to hit, but that was fine. That'd be doing things the easy way.

His mask zoomed in on the ship. It had the word "waffle" spray painted on the side of it, and it seemed to only be carrying a few marines.

Slayer decided that this was what he was waiting for. The corporate marines had finally climbed out of their festering pit, and it was time to make them hurt.

He raced along the streets, scaling fences and climbing over upturned cars just to keep up. Finally the ship started to slow.

'They must be looking for someone' he thought.

Slayer used the quick opportunity to climb the wall of a nearby building. He made it to the roof, and stood there watching the ships. Anticipating their next move. He made sure to stay well out of sight, hidden among the shadows of the rooftop. He was invisible.

Their rescue mission was about to take a turn for the worse. He would make sure of that.

delta-boy, Human, 15 years ago

Watching Vev dust off and the 'Green'ies' go with him.
He sat upright next to the powerful PC.
A blurp rang through the portable and Delta reckoned it was a faint signal from the outskirts. A second appeared. He frowned. Sligning his gear he walked over to the right hand side of the inner perimeter and dropped into a trench beside Malus. Not commenting to him as he gracefully searched the rising sun of the morning sky.
"Wont be long now". he said.
Calling up his squad over the com. "Mark, Xavier. On me". He waited for the Corporates to reach his position.
He wondered where Fletcher was, but Delta didnt resent his 2IC position in First Squad. He started to mic a broth and waited.
Looking n at the horizon, such a beatiful world, he thought. To be ruined by monsters. Well... He would fix that, personally.

vevlaa, Human, 15 years ago

As the sun climbed over the horizon, Vevlaa got a good look at the area below. As far as he could see, everything looked clear, The radio buzzed a order, and Vevlaa sighed â€ÂHang tight men, we are going in†he said over the com to the troops in the back while pushing the nose down, making the ‘Waffle’ drop like a stone towards the ground. â€ÂWe are to secure the LZ at all costs, be ready for anything. Deploy sentries in a defensive position, and deploy scanners.â€Â

As he spoke, he watched the altimeter drop: 18.000, 16.000… 10.000… 5.000… 2.000… Vevlaa pulled the stick back just in time to come to a complete stop above the center building which was now coded as “LZ Plazaâ€Â. Vevlaa deployed the landing gear and opened the hatch, giving the men a good look at the LZ before touching down. “GO GO GO†he yelled backwards…

When the men were out he got a good look at the surroundings. They were on the tallest still standing building with a clear 360degree view.†Well, at least there was no way of attacking whiteout giving themselves into the scanners†he thought to himself and smiled. He unstrapped himself from the seat, and walked backwards toward the men setting up the defensive position. As he got out, he got a good look at how the ‘Waffle’ was placed. This was bad, He was vulnerable, so he followed Carmine's advice, and took off again. Moments later he was back at 20.000ft... "Good luck men" he said over the radio....

Atin_Fordo, Human, 15 years ago

Carmine half-smiled and half-grimaced behind his helmet. "You too, Vev," he said quietly. He had watched the "Waffle" fly away for a second, and with it, the promise of safety. He then turned to face the door that would open up into the building, which he was the closest to. He still had his Rotary with him, and he was not going to lose it. But, it prevented him from doing much. So, he set down the Rotary, and pulled his Grenade Launcher out of its makeshift holster, aiming it carefully at the door. Then, in one move, he lowered it, and brought up his foot in one move, right into the door.

Armored boots were convenient for that.

The door ripped itself open and slammed into the wall, and by the time that happened, he'd already raised the Grenade Launcher again, aiming into the darkness. And it WAS dark. He turned on the spotlamp attatched to his helmet, and did another sweep. Bugs liked dark places... So did the gorillas... So you could never be too sure. But he gave a signal that it was safe to everybody behind him.

So, this was it. This was the real deal. The dropship had just brought them into the ass of the enemy and dropped them off. Not exactly the most reassuring thought, but it was the closest to the truth he could think of. In the city, nowhere was safe. It was an immediate situation FUBAR to anybody who didn't know how this worked.

As he began to move down the stairs, he started to think carefully on what they should do, and an idea began to form in his head, slowly, but surely. These were the big games now, and there was no such thing as cheating or fair play. Anything goes. Everybody in the building could die, and nobody would have to bat an eye. So, he would make sure he came back alive. No mistakes.

He brought up the radio to Malus's frequency. "Commander, this is Carmine again. I got a plan for if things start to look bad. I'm gonna rig some explosives around the bottom floor, hook it up to a few manually detonated bombs. That way, we got a back-up plan. Blow the building up if things hit the fan. We'll get everybody out if that's the case, but I'll have to stay behind to detonate it. Carmine out," he said over the radio, trying to be quick about it. He didn't want to have things come to that, but it would have to do. Then he switched to external audio, turning doing his odd turn to see everyone behind him, and yet the stairs in front of him. "Alright, let's head to the bottom. We'll sweep each floor and make sure nothing's up here to fuck with us."

Gaunt, Human, 15 years ago

Gaunt saw it and he couldn't believe it.
TND had been shot by his own men and Saysell had run back out through the door and into the open, Wounded.
Gaunt turned, Crawled up to the window he came though and looked out into the street.
He couldn't find Saysell anywhere.
Dissapointed with the lose of Saysell, He jumped out onto the roof tops and looked to see if he could find any trace of Saysell, But still no trace.
It seemed that his fight with Saysell wouldn't happen today, Dissapointed and angry he jumped over the roof tops looking for any traces of enemy organisms to fight.
He knew if he was going to find an enemy he'd have to think of a new way to find them.

xeno_slayer, Human, 15 years ago

Slayer watched as the dropship dropped down onto the top of a nearby skyscraper. Still zoomed in, he could see the WY marines exiting the ship, and getting their bearings. It looked like they were setting up scanners and turrets too. No matter, the roof of the building wasn't exactly where he planned on attacking.

Slayer made his way quickly to the base of the large building. It towered above him, blocking out the hint of the sun that was starting to rise on the horizon. The massive structure spoke volumes of human architectural capacity. It was a gigantic gray rectangle.

Slayer knew that the building would be rigged with sensors by now, so entering the normal way would be suicide. Instead, he scaled a nearby telephone pole and jumped across onto a balcony that was sticking out of the second story.

'Doesn't look like this area has been rigged yet' though slayer. He slowly crept in through what was once a glass door, but was now just a hole in the wall.

He heard a noise that sounded like an engine starting, and realized that the ship must have taken off This left the rescue party to fend for themselves.

'Perfect.'

DeathWraith, Human, 15 years ago

The woman started breathing heavily as they got closer to the outside world. The fresh air must have had a good effect on her, but she was still in bad shape. There was a wound on her back that kept bleeding and Xeuss had no way of stopping it. He was carrying her on his right shoulder while holding her with his left hand, because his left shoulder and right wrist had been shot and his blood could have done the woman much worse than had been done to her already.

As he kept walking he could see the light coming from the hole he had fallen into. Light... Daylight... This had been one of the shortest nights of his life. The queen was still whispering "Leave her, she will die, leave her..." but he was not listening. He had woken up from the dream that the Queen had been dragging him into. He was not the same xenomorph who had been taken by the corporation and kept in a cell for experiments and he was not the same young recruit who had been selected for the X.E.U.S.S. program. He was himself, the leader of an organization of free people. No alien or human had ever told him what to do and he wasn't going to start listening now. No matter what memmories he ha of this hive, there was no such thing as "his hive". The DBO was his family and noone else.

But then why was he risking his life for a woman he didn't even know after he had abandoned one of his "family members" on this planet for several years? "Oh who cares! This has got to be a good deed!" he thought. As always, when a complicated dilemma came up, he either chased the thought away or shot everyone down. But this time there was noone to shoot down. Noone at all. When he got to the hole everything was silent. Absolutely noone around.

"Hey are you around, cos these corporates apparently have no idea how to trace me, or... oh no matter, you're here." he said in the radio and stopped as he noticed the old jeep with Saysell at the wheel rushing twards him. "Thought i'd flashed that thing into space..." he whispered. "Damnit Melanie..."

Atin_Fordo, Human, 15 years ago

They were about five levels down from the top now. That was what Carmine kept going over in his head. The building was thirty stories high, and he wanted to get to the ground level. They were doing a sweep of the twenty fifth level at the time, when somebody let out a shot. "Look, outside! Xenos!"

Carmine rushed over to the man who was shouting for everyone to look, who apparently had better ideas than Carmine did... Or very, very good hearing. Carmine leaned out the window, and did not like what he saw one bit. It was a sea of bugs... Black shelled, acid blooded, razor-lined bugs. He couldn't even count them all.

"Commander, Carmine again... There's at least a couple hundred bugs outside... And they look like they're about to come knocking. We might want to consider picking a new evac point," he said this calmly, almost with a sigh. He knew he'd been wanting kills, but... This was more than slightly ridiculous. There was no way they could get downstairs without being engulfed.

He pulled out the Grenade Launcher again, and pulled the lever, the cylindrical clip falling open. He checked the ammunition type he had it set to. Normal. That was good, because that was the only thing that'd do much good at the time. He then leaned out the window again, and aimed down into the crowd.

Time for some crowd control.

The sound could deafen anybody without a helmet, he was sure. Because he pulled the trigger three times, aiming at a different area each time, and the sound really hurt his ears, and the recoil kicked him back a bit. He watched each grenade fly through the sky and rain down into the crowd, exploding in a fiery and acidic blaze in three places in the crowd. The building shook slightly from the three explosions, but stood firm. He couldn't tell just how many he'd gotten, but he smiled behind his helmet. "BLAST! Just got my first few and I already lost track of my kills!"

That was when he heard a thud. He spun around, grenade launcher aimed at the next set of stairs. "Anybody know what that was?" he asked briefly. Nobody answered. That thud definitely wasn't a marine tripping. It was something in the lower levels... Something that was much, much bigger than a bug. He got on the radio again. "We got a dreadlock somewhere in the building. Not confirmed, but we all just heard somethin' bigger than a bug movin' around."

x_saysell, Human, 15 years ago

Hurtling across the wasteland dust and stones where being thrown around by the old military tyres. The Jeep was old but it still had allot of life in it, Saysell had adjusted the engine to the point of it being better than new. Then it struck him, the sun was on the horizon. The glare bounced off the windshield and reflected in all direction, giving the jeep an eerie glow as it hurtled towards Xeuss.

Then he saw the silhouette he had been hoping for, the shadow of a man carrying a young woman.
"Ohh God." Saysell's voice became horse as he closed in seeing the wounds of the woman. Pulling the hand brake the jeep slid to a sudden stop next to Xeuss. Jumping form the driver’s seat Saysell took the woman and laid her in the jeep.
"I will see to her wounds, we don’t want you bleeding on her. You drive."

Saysell quickly pulled a first aid kit from the front of the jeep and began to apply gauss to the woman’s wounds.
"Can you hear me?" He spoke softly and with a slow clear tone.
"What is your name?"
"Kristy" The girl's voice was weak and unstable.
"Well Kristy I am Saysell and I am going to make sure you are alright." The reassurance in Saysell's voice was enough to convince the woman as she laid back while he worked. His days in AD had left him with uncanny skill for battlefield medicine, he looked after his troops.

As Xeuss hurtled towards the Melanie Saysell looked up towards him, who now had a sheer determination on his face, he wanted this woman to live just as much as Saysell.
"So is the queen dead?"
Xeuss's only reply was he slowly shook his head.

Saysell began to feel a sensation he had grown to miss. The colony may have died, but at least one life would be saved. Looking back at his new patient, with thoughts of the colony he realised he knew this girl. She had given him water as he helped barricade the walls. He had failed her, he had failed them all. But he refused to let them kind of thoughts in he was more worried about saving her.

The screech of Xenomorphs could be heard from behind, they wanted their host back. There numbers must have been thinning, they wanted her and wouldn’t stop unless someone stopped them.
Taking up the turret he took aim at the several runners chasing the jeep. Click, click, click. The gun wasn’t firing, it was broken this was an old jeep what could you expect.
"Shit! Xeuss get her to the Melanie and leave as soon as you cant feel my presence any more, I am going to cover you" At that Saysell opened the jeep door and edged himself on the rim of the step leading inside.
"Ohh and one more thing, I wouldn’t trade it for anything." Then suddenly, as if being pushed Saysell leapt from the jeep and hit the ground with a thud. Quickly rolling and jumping to his feet he began to fire. There was five of them and one of him, but he had the advantage of distance.

Three fell at the first barrage of rounds, a forth from a shotgun round as it closed in. The final one had closed the gap and was now a real threat, throwing his rifle to the floor Saysell pulled his knives from their sheathes. they began to circle one another, it was instinct, both thinking like a xenomorph and both ruthless to no extent. Then it leaped towards Saysell knocking him to the ground, but to its own demise as he quickly span the creature so it was now on the floor as he thrusted both knives into the creature neck and tore them out in opposing direction. Cutting the creatures head clean off.
"That’s why us hybrids are better. We think for ourselves." Saysell mocked the dead creatures as he wiped his blades of the floor, they may of been acid proof but the sheathes Saysell had on weren’t.

"So what now." Saysell wondered as the gravity of the situation hit him.
"I could walk to the Melanie and maybe get there in time to leave, or I could go help the marines" Saysell pondered his next move as he picked his pulse rifle back up and readjusted his coat.
Then he decided, he had failed the survivors so he needed to make amends and get revenge on the bitch who had ordered the massacre. He was going to the hive, alone if need be. He knew fine well he probably wouldn’t come back out.

vevlaa, Human, 15 years ago

Vevlaa looked down, and saw what looked like a massive black shadow moving toward the LZ.
â€ÂFuck, Fuck, FUCK†he yelled and then he said over the radio to the party below: â€ÂFirestorm incoming South side 15 seconds, Take cover!â€ÂThe Waffle rolled over to the left and dived towards the main road that led to the building from the south. As the altimeter approached 2.000feet, he pulled up the nose just enough to clear the ground.

The Waffle, only lacking 4 missiles from earlier, was ready to fire at any time. And it did. As Vevlaa pushed the trigger, all of the Waffles missiles blasted from their launch pods, and flew towards the crowd.

Only seconds later, the entire street below was light up in a blaze, killing dozens of aliens. Vevlaa could hear their screeches even within the cockpit. A chill went down his back, by the cold and horrifying sounds coming from below.

Still thrusting through the street, a thought struck Vevlaa. At the same time as a alarm went of. â€ÂWarning, Obstacle ahead, Pull up†a female voice said in the cockpit, but before the word ahead was said, Vevlaa had maxed the thrust, and pulled the stick to gain max lift. It wasn’t a second to late. The Waffle climbed vertically alongside the building just over a meter away.

Vevlaa laughed loud when he cleared the building and got up to a good altitude before leveling out. By the time he was horizontal again, Vevlaa realized that he was almost over the main base. “Coming in to rearm hurry up†Was all he got to say before he touched down…

Atin_Fordo, Human, 15 years ago

Carmine slammed in a couple shots into the grenade launcher, and then the call came in. He could see the Waffle through the window... And then it clicked that he was on the South side. "Everybody, get down, now!" he shouted at the top of his lungs. He slid against the wall, well away from any windows, crouching down and covering his head, muttering a list of obscenities to himself. He was safe from the missiles, but was an old habit.

The sound of incoming missiles heading roughly in your direction wasn't appealing to him, nor were the sounds that followed. The building shook a few times at the sound of quite a few explosions, and he took a hold of a door frame to keep himself from being shook up too much. Helmets were useful and all, but if you hit your head hard, it was just like having hard skin. It'd protect you from shrapnel, but not falls.

He listened carefully to the noise outside the building, hearing the crackling of a fire and the screams of Xenomorphs. Slowly, he pulled himself to his feet, moving over to the window again, but careful to make sure he didn't make a wrong move. He didn't know what he'd see out there, or if another wave was coming. But when he looked out, he simply found the courtyard's South end full of holes, burning, and full of mulched Xenomorphs. There were still a lot more coming, but the bulk of it was taken out. "Thanks!" he said into the radio. That took care of the problem pretty well.

He fired a few more grenade shots, this time capable of counting them. He counted out thirteen Xenos this time, with a few more down there, but he decided not to waste the ammo because they were too close or too far. He frowned a bit at that, but that eliminated most threats. He quickly reloaded the launcher, and opened up his survival pack. He pulled out two Flashbang grenades, and shoved them into his combat webbing. He also switched the launcher to the EMP grenades he had stored in it.

He then proceeded to place the grenade launcher back into its holstered state, and picked up the Rotary. He then moved back toward the stairs, making sure his audio couldn't be heard by anyone not on the frequency-- Or outside the marines' helmets. "Okay, we're good. Keep an eye out for a guy with a bad case of head crabs."

Waralien, Human, 15 years ago

Waralien looked at the mines and tried to figure a way around them. It was no use. They were packed too tightly together to avoid. A chewing sound alerted War and he turned to see Kirby eating the human. War was about to thrash him for his action, but stopped midway. The dead bodies gave him an idea. It was risky but worth it.

War instructed the Warriors to rip apart the bodies large enough so that a motion detector could read them but small enough to throw. Then he told the Predaliens to grab the body pieces and aim them at the mines. The Predaliens did their task well....

Several explosions echoed into and out of the sewer entrance. The sound was loud enough to alert all nearby forces, friend or otherwise.

The mines left holes that completely severed the grating entrance and the other section, but War planned for that. Carfully and quickly he and the other Xenos made their way to the hole and lept across the two meter hole carful not to leave any trace of their exploit across.

Turning to the runners, he told them to send a message to the Queen. "A fracture has been found, seek and inflitrate" With that the runners hurried off to their mission. War then led the rest into the pipe.

At the end of the pipe, War discovered that in joined a large main sewer. Several other pipe entrances were around, good for ambushes and to get around. A quick scan of the area told War that the humans had not secured the interior of the sewers. Perfect.

DeathWraith, Human, 15 years ago

The woman was no longer bleeding and good thing neither was Xeuss' wrist, or the wheel of the jeep would have been completely destroyed. He had ripped a few patches off his coat and wrapped them around the wound, making it harder to aim with his right hand but at least the jeep he was driving would survive. Probably... He was driving at a very high speed, closing in on what used to be a burning village and was now the landing zone for the Melanie. it looked like she had suffocated all the fire beneath her because everything was still.

Howevwer the bumpy ride had woken the woman and even though she had severe pain in her back and had lost a lot of blood, the sight of Xeuss made her scream and try to crawl out of the jeep. "Hey stop, stop it!" he ordered as he saw her struggling in the back seat, but the sound of his voice didn't make him sound any less threatening so he eventually had to reach back and grab her with his left hand and throw her in the front seat on the passenger's side and lock the seatbelt around her. "Stop struggling or you'll bleed to death, really, stop, i'm trying to help you!" but the woman had fainted again.

As he got to the Melanie he parked the jeep next to her, picked the woman up and said:

"Hey, i'm back, open up!" and the side hangar door opened. "Oh you gotta open way over there!" he said in an irritated tone!"

"I have nothing to open up where you are, i am not made of doors you know!" the ship responded so Xeuss got back to the wheen of the jeep and drove it inside. "Who is that, there's someone else with you, a woman, oh and she's almost dead, she needs blood and nutrients."

"Yes she does, do you have any blood?"

"Well not at the moment, but i can make some, just get her to the cloning lab!"

"Good good, i also want you to take off, cloak and fly as low as you can over the city!"

"Yes, certainly, what are you going to do?"

"I was thinking i'd take a pod and drop in on the queen with the shotgun and blow her to hell."

"Old routine, huh?"

"Yea, same ol'... Where Lucifer by the way?"

"I have no idea..."

"What do you mean, did he leave?"

"I wasn't paying attention."

"Damnit, Melanie!"

Xeuss got the woman to the cloning lab, layed her there for the ship to do it's thing and rushed back to drop pods. The ship's cloak took some time to finalize, it was a huge ship, but from outside it looked like it was just disappeating into nothingness. Then as the ship slowly took off, the whole village crumbled under the power of the hover engines necessary to lift such a giant off the ground. The sound was unbarable at first even from inside the ship, Xeuss was not used to it, he had never landed the Melanie before and in space of course nothing could be heard from outside her walls. But then as she switched to Yautja engines it all got silent again and she headed right for the city.

"How long till we get there?"

"A few seconds, Xeuss, i'm not a jeep!"

"Oh right, well go as low as you can but don't hit anythiiiiiIIIIIIII-" he tried to say but was thrown off ballance by the ship suddenly leaning to a side and then back to normal position. The sound of it all hinter that the Melanie had hit the very tall building in the middle of the city and a big part of it went crumbling down. "Damnit, Melanie!"

"Sorry..."

After the dust weared off the sky over the city was only a bit more blurry, but nothing too unusual.

"Ok, let's hope noone noticed that and that a dropship doesn't crash into us or something." Xeuss said as he entered the drop pod. "Saysell, i'm over the city, i got Melanie to join us."

Kidd, Human, 15 years ago

The small group consisting up of three battle harden marines, a synthetic, and a corporate scientist make their way through the darkness of the sewer system with the aid of flashlights that they have acquired before leaving the underground lab. Having some luck navigating their way through the numerous corridors and tunnels of the sewers, they tread carefully as they did not want to warn the alien horde to their precence. If they were spotted by the serphent horde, the group would give them the taste of the corporate flamethrowers which they were given by the scientist.

Listening to the busted radio which can only recieve communications yet does not send any out, the marines listen in on the situation going on up stairs, "Seems like those WY boys are advancing, sir." said Valk as he returns his gaze back down the dark tunnel after looking back at the radio behind them. "Just hope that they could keep their attention long enough for us to make it to the hive. We need them to do that much for us." said Kidd. Just then, the sound of three booms were heard above them in the distance. Crouching down low as the dust fell on them from the ceiling, Kidd cusses under his breath as the thought of having the tunnel structure finally collasping on top of them. "We have hurry. Keep quiet and watch your steps too, I don't want those monsters to be alerted to our precence." ordered Kidd as he got back up to his feet and lifting the incinerator up to aim it down the corridor which he is advancing down in.

The three marines are overwhelmed with one task, and that was to cover the entire 360 degree radius with Dr. Manning in the center. Kidd is leading the squad down the sewers with the synthetic, Sixteen following close behind him with a flame unit in his possesion. Young taking the rear with Valk securing intersections. The marines are armed with their standard M41A1 pulse rifles as well as the Weyland Yutani incinerator units. The only person not harmed in the group was Dr. Manning, and he seems to be facinated with everything he sees, especially when it considers the xenomorph species.

They slowly make their way through the series of tunnels in the sewers, until they stepped on something that is not concrete, but something different all together. Shining the flashlight down at the ground, the group could see harden resin covering the ground. Still shining their lights, they followed the harden resin up to the end of the tunnel to see something to their amazement, "Its, the hive." the scientist spoke up, not daring to move from the safety of the marine's small, protective perimeter. Just then, in the distance, an insect looking creature appeared down at the end of the tunnel, only to look at them. "It's a scout. He must be the several who were left behind to keep the hive safe while the Weyland boys are keeping their mainforce busy." spoke Kidd as the group continued to stare at the creature who is staring right back at them. "Why isn't it attacking. Do you think it sees us?" asked Young as he keeps the rear gaurded. "Oh, yes. It does see us, not only that, senses us. It knows we are here too." spoke up the scientist as he gets down on a kneel and squints his eyes to see the creature better at the end of the tunnel, and then he continues,"Oh my god, this is amazing! He is standing us off. He is trying to tell us that we are not welcome here. I think he is wanting to prove his worthiness to his mother." "Well, that is just brillant doctor, a lone warrior standing a group like us off? I won't settle for that at all. Yet again, we can't do anything because, everything that I am thinking about right now will lead us to our demise. If we advance, he'll warn the others. If we fire at him, that will warn the others. If we retreat, he'll pick us off one by one on our way around. So, what should we do, doctor?" asked Kidd as he looks down at the doctor.

Standing on all fours, facing the small human group, the dark, serphent creature holds his ground at the end of the tunnel. Wagging his tail back and forth only to stiffen it up behind itself, it bares it's teeth in anger as saliva drips from it's mouth. Alone but not afraid, the xenomorph did the unthinkable as it stood up tall on it's hindlegs and turns it's back on the group. Then it lets out a screech that is famously known to attract more of it's buddies.

"Crap!" Kidd lowers the flame unit and takes his rifle. Squeezing off several round, he hit the xenomorph causing it to fall off at the end of the tunnel. Knowing if the creature is dead or not, they were not sure, but now they have to act fast. Now picking up the pace, the group enters the outer section of the hive and now have to navigate their way through this alien world which the xenomorphs has created on earth.

Gaunt, Human, 15 years ago

Gaunt had heard and seen many explosions, To him they were just ways of finding enemys, And they proved succsesful.
He jumped onto anouther roof top now, He was following the most resent blast he had heard and found what he had been looking for.
With a upturned APC behind him, Voltage3000 stood there looking down on the floor, He was looking at Saysell, And Saysell was unarmed.
This was great, Like a second round to the fight they had in the past.
Not knowing who to attack Gaunt decided to jump inbertween Saysell and Voltage.
He leaped from the building, As he flew straight towards them he shouted out using the best english he knew 'Nice...see...you two again!!!'.

(Edited due to deletion of posts)

Carmine was on the eighteenth floor, or something around that. He was in the stairwell, currently, aiming the Rotary at the door that led into that floor. He brought up his foot hard, and sent the door flying off its hinges. Two of the marines moved in instantly, aiming in all directions with their Pulse Rifles. They turned to give him the all clear signal, but never got the chance.

The part of the building they were standing in was torn away by a large object ripping through the building. "Holy shit!" Carmine yelled as the building shook from the impact. He lost his balance, and hit the ground hard, not risking standing up because the building might not have been stable. The object had only taken a second to move past... He hadn't even seen anything but a blur.

When he dared get back up, he did it slowly. "Everybody else alright?" a voice said quietly. It took him a moment to realize it was his, because it sounded nothing like him. When he got a resounding chorus confirming everyone was okay, he looked around for the Rotary. Typically, it was a few feet away from him.

He picked it up, then moved out into the open area. The corner of the building was gone from the eighteenth floor down to the fourteenth, from a rough look. He looked in the direction of the object, seeing the huge, black shape with orange rings in the back of it... Engines. It was a ship that had thrashed the building.

That was when he looked down below.

He could see the remains of the two marines, smashed and splattered across the ground below about fifty meters away. They were both mutilated beyond description now... Decapitated, severed limbs, disembowelment... With deep red pools forming around them. He felt saddened by seeing that, shaking his head for a moment, eyes closed. "Rest in peace, guys... Damn..." A couple of the marines were talking behind him, but he wasn't listening to what they were saying. Just remembering, probably. When he opened his eyes, something was immediately caught in his gaze.

Hanging from a piece of steel jutting from the broken building, now was a small silver plate, hanging by a bead-like chain... A dog tag.

He removed the tag from its location, and took a look at it for a moment. Its name read "Tanner Bissell." He jammed it into his combat webbing, deciding he'd give it to TDN or his boss later. For now, he had a mission to complete. He turned to face the marines, and began walking back inside the building.

"Commander, this is Carmine. Large ship just took out a huge chunk of the building, heading East," he said with a sigh. He was continuously keeping Malus posted, and he was sure his Commander was probably sick of hearing him. But when shit kept hitting the fan, he figured his boss would want to know. He walked through the door, and into the stairwell. He decided to go set the explosives. The building was already taking continuous damage, so he might as well have.

He positioned himself carefully, and turned a box on his belt to face upward at the wall. He hit a button on it, and a cord fired out of it silently. A small hook opened up on the end, digging into the wall. He gave it a few hard tugs, and it didn't budge. He smiled, then climbed over the edge of the railing, placing his boots firmly against the wall. He kicked off with his boots, and the cord began to slowly reel out, sending him down deeper into the building.

It was the belly of the beast.

(This post is totally ignorant of Voltage's in-valid Post)

The sun was now fully asserted in the morning sky, the air was clean but had the scent of death about it. Many had died this night, and many more where yet to die. Saysell silently reassured himself that he had saved at least one person and he was safe in that knowledge. Slowly a smile crept across his face, it wasn’t just the scent of death in the air.

The air was rank with the smell of an old foe. It was getting stronger, so he was getting closer, at speed.
Quickly turning just in time to avoid a blade to the face Saysell saw his an old face he thought well dead.
It was Voltage from his subway battle.

"Haven’t I killed you once?" Saysell's voice ripe with a combination of arrogance and confusion.
"I am pretty sure I stuck my blade right through you face. Infact I know I did because, you bent the other one. Bastard." Saysell narrowly avoided a blow form a closed fist.
"Fine if you don’t want to reminisce I guess we better get down to it." Saysell was now becoming angry at this creatures ignorance. It was wild with rage and still wore the same dam ugly yellow armour from before.

Raising his pulse rifle Saysell loaded a shotgun round into the chamber, these weren’t just shotgun rounds they where shredder rounds. Much like buckshot but had small double-edged blades as opposed to metal pellets. They ripped through flesh like paper. It didn’t matter however as he had taken to long to load the round and Voltage was on him again, far to close for a shot to be taken.
A solid kick landed to Saysell's side as he swung round with the butt of his rifle, knocking both himself and Voltage back, Saysell quickly followed this at the rise of second scent. A scent again recognised from the subway, then as if from out of nowhere a small fat worm like creature jumped between them. It was the chestburster from the subway battle so long before.
"Fuck you ugly, even for a xenomorph." Saysell insulted the creature as in landed.
"Pretty stupid too, to put yourself between a Yautja and a enhanced solider." Saysell was now becoming bored of these two, they where becoming an ever more tedious annoyance than the dirt at the bottom of Saysell's boots.

"Hey, you fucking dreadlocked freak! Get away from him!" Came an easily recognised voice from the large building close by. Closely followed by a grenade from the same direction. Narrowly missing the Yautja, but the explosion was more than enough to knock the creature several feet into the air and fill his left side with shrapnel. Saysell hit the floor as if by reflex, covering his head as the blast cleared to reveal the Yautja laid several feet away on the ground bleeding profoundly. Someone was watching out for Saysell and by the sounds of it, it was none other than Carmine
"I'll be dammed, someone actually does like me up there after all" Saysell joked tilting his head to look up to towards where Carmine was watching giving him a quick salute.

"Now I believe we have some unfinished business to attend to" Saysell stated coldly his eyes becoming black as the beast within took over. Turning to the sound of the scurrying chestburster he fired his shredder round at the undeveloped xenomorph, very narrowly hitting the end of its tail, blowing it clean off.

Saysell then pulled back on the pulse rifle pump action mechanism, readying the second shedder round into the chamber. Still glaring at the downed Yautja he waited for movement, other than the convulsing that it was undergoing. Probably in shock from such a blast.

-Bloo-, Human, 15 years ago

Defeat. They may have succeeded in one battle, but the real war had yet to begin. Something terrible was going to happen within the hive. The Queen Mother, with her supreme power, foresaw it. Bloo knew it as well. With the most important of its priorities taken care of, the serpent of the shade of blue steps into the darkness of the hive, gusts of wind passing behind the entrance to the horrible underworld.

At the edges of labyrinth, Bloo stampedes through the much-familiar grounds already covered long ago, smells of rotting flesh and blood trickling down from the walls soothes its stomach. The feeling of nostalgia takes over, the leader of the serpents of shadows blindly traveling to the center.

It was home.

And although it had just recently resided in this hell hole forty-eight hours ago, it felt like an eternity to this home-sick beast. Bloo gnashes its teeth and ceases motion as its skeleton creaks and its joints popped. In its mind it could see one of its own kind in some kind of pain, writhing on the floors of its home and crying out for help. The crazed beast brings both hands up to its face as it begins to stand on both hind legs, hissing loudly as it begins to become overwhelmed with anger and frustration.

Humans! Humans in my presence! Kill them, kill them all!

If only Bloo was the much cultivated King specimen of their species. It dreamed of sovereignty, strength second to none. If only it would be, it could triumph over any foe, hurl them into the firey pits of hell. There would be silence then, silence that might last forever, as much of forever it needs, and never again would pathetic excuses for life even attempt to defeat the mighty xenomorphs.

But there was another side of this creature, one that seeks destruction. Without these humans, what would it hate? It loved hating these pathetic insects, enjoying every last minute of their genocide when the great war had taken place. The joyous feelings of greatness it had felt in those days. Where was that creature? Where was that instinct? That raw power? That completely insane side that had suddenly taken over the xenomorph, contributing to the mass destruction of the humans?

It was here once again, and like last time, it wishes to bring death upon the unfortunate.

Very soon, the change is done with the serpent. It stands upright in all its glory, leaning its head back and, releasing a sound that would instill fear in even the toughest of humanity's ranks, cries the roar of Satan, and warm saliva streams down to the dried floors of resin. Every single xenomorph within the hive hears this fearsome call, and, as planned, the humans hear it as well. A scream like no other, one truly foreign to even the most xenophobic of species.
