Description
An expedition of archaeologists on Earth discover an Aztec temple hidden under the Antarctic circle, housing a host of Alien creatures. A group of coming-of-age Predators have also come to the temple, as it has long been a training ground for their race. From there on, it's Aliens vs. Predators, with the humans caught in the middle.

I think that the movies main problam is that it was entirely too short dang it! I mean if your ganna have thousands of aliens and 3 predators dont waste time with fist fights that the predators lose in! Id be more entertained if the predator beat the unholy hell out of the alien. It was also stupid that they knocked of 2 preds so early in the movie as well... I mean from the past games and movies arent they suposed 2 be the bad M-F-ers? They are trained for the hunt and survival? But they still seem 2 let their gaurd down on numerous accounts? All in all I have 2 say that they couldn't have done a better job on the aliens they were good. Preds bad, aliens good. Pred means stop, alien means go... But oh well I heard about the seqeul to this movie and it will have the predalien... my favorite spieces.

i think AVP is the best movie made am a insane fan of all the aliens and predators and when i herd of AVP i went nuts but i prefer the movies with a bit less human envolvement or more killing of them.

Ok, this movie is my favorite of the series just because of the great, I don't know what you'd call it, sentimental value I guess. Kind of the movie everyone close to me associates me with. But besides that, I have to say that it actually is a good movie. To avoid anything bias, I have to review this film based solely on what it tries to do. It tries to give salivating fans that’ve been waiting for years without their favorite movies on the silver screen loads of the creature gore they've been waiting for. Based on what the film is based on, it's darn good. More monster rumbling and acid spewing than you can shake a Predator spear at. If it is watched solely for its entertainment value, this dazzling effects laden and highly anticipated cult classic will be one of the best movies a person could watch. Sure, a lot of the dialogue flat out sux, it seemed a little bit rushed, the character development is sadly sacrificed for creature battles, and the movie is far too short, but still, it can be thoroughly enjoyed by those salivating fans it was made for if watched for kicks. Plus the musical score never ceases to amaze.

This Movie Like most Verses movies was a grave dissappoint to me and my freinds. It just didn't deliver what the original Alien and pred movies did. Paul W.S Anderson really did screw up a great potential of a movie.
AVP was good but will AVP II be better???

What a brill film. i loved every minute of it. 4/5 because it needed more gore! more chest splatters! more skinned people! more death! more danger! less slow motion bits!

I have to say that this movie really was awful, as a free standing movie it was ok, but as the film all alien and predator fans have been waiting for it was damn terrible. The setting for one was neither exciting or scary, it should have been done in a more urban area. Also I think it should have been based on the AVP games (for the setting this is, not the plot)

Man this movie was absolutely awesome!! I've watched it like 7 times already! It was full of action, drama and suspense. It all looked so real. The setting gave it more of an eeriness which I thought added to the darkness of the movie. I love the way it ended because it obviously shows there will be a sequal but how will it continue knowing they are 1 now?? Man I'm HANGING for the sequal, when is it coming out!!!!!!
