Aliens vs Predator

Aliens vs Predator (Gold Edition) Featuring characters from the popular and terrifying film sagas Aliens and Predator, Aliens Versus Predator pits three of the deadliest species in the universe against each other in a bloodthirsty battle for the ultimate prize--survival. Playing as a colonial marine, a predator, or an alien, players stalk their way through richly detailed, spine-tingling environments. With Aliens Versus Predator Gold Edition, gamers experience more than 30 levels of action and terror, including 5 bonus levels for each character. Controlling three different species, players enjoy each character's individual objective, weapons, and unique perspectives in a newly enhanced and optimized version of this sci-fi PC thriller. Aliens vs Predator Aliens vs. Predator offers 40 levels of terrifying futuristic environments in which you choose to be a Colonial Marine, a Predator, or an Alien. It's "survival of the fittest" for your species, as you make your way through responsive game screens that adjust to your actions. Your environments range from planetscapes to colonial bases, where one wrong move could turn you from hunter to prey.

Every year games are made based on popular movies. But Aliens vs. Predator has the distinction of being based on not one but two movie licenses: the Aliens and Predator series. Within the game, as a first-person shooter, you'll have access to 40 individual levels in order to battle it out as an Alien, a Predator, or a Colonial Marine. As if it were three games in one, this leaves you faced with entirely different gameplay, as each type of creature has its own strengths and flaws.

Each species also has its own set of objectives. As a Colonial Marine whose base has been overrun, you'll use a plethora of weapons including a pulse rifle, minigun, flamethrower, and grenade launcher as you fight both to save your life and to find a way home. As a Predator, your goal is to rescue another Predator that the humans have captured. In the process, you'll use your wristblade, pistol, plasmacaster, and cloaking device to get as many human and alien trophies as you can. Playing as the Alien, your primary objective is basic survival, and while you won't have the same firepower as the other races, you'll be able to take advantage of your phenomenal speed.

The game has enough storyline to keep any gamer pleased. However, Aliens vs. Predator is not without flaws. While it boasts 10 multiplayer modes including cooperative and deathmatch play, Internet play is available only via Mplayer (, and lag can be a problem, as can getting into games at all. Also, the shipping game doesn't allow for midlevel saves, meaning that you can save a game only once a level has been completed. Fox Interactive, though, has since released a downloadable patch enabling players to save at will.

Aliens vs. Predator is a great game for fans of the various movies, but gamers will also love the game's excellent graphics and gory action-packed gameplay.

i give it 7and a half out of ten

gerat 1st person action game i give it 7and a half out of ten. the bad thing i think is that you dont see your guys in the single player but on a few levels.but the rest is good being a alien on gateway sation. being a marine on lv-426,and being a predator on a marine ship.I love this game even if it was made in 1999.It is a good start to young AVP fans.

it ok...

i liked this game i thought killing other things is fun i mainly liked the predator lol! but i hate how every alien vs predator game has marienes

THE game was awsome I loved being the alien mostly but I do like the PREDATOR and THE MARINE. the game was the most fun I had in years I have been for the game to come out and I give it 5/5 stars.

This game is one of the reasons I came back to PC games. It was absolutely superb. Great level design, stuck to the films quite tightly, looked gorgeous and wasnt a system hog.

Which kind of confused me about AvP2, which was awful.

I love this game i especialy love the predator vision changes and how you can go camo but the only thing i think they could have done would have been that when you are predator you could have skinned the humans and hung them like in the movies

AvP- original computer game

Loved this game! Easy to play (as far as being able to memorize keys and such), involves a bit of intelligence, and keeps my interrest. I love it much- and I hate
Unfortunately, a couple years ago my parents got a new computer which didn't happen to be compatable with my game. Now I've been deprived from my game for years and I am thuroughly pissed off...

it's very good

I like playing as the aliens,my second favourite species are the predators.I hate the marines but too beat the game I did anything I could. The scenery is ok for a 1999 video game.I think this would be the best game to get begginer a.v.p lovers to play!Ever since I played this game I became a better a.v.p lover!!!!!!
