I think he was bigger in the show, more noticed, there wasnt as much action in Alien as Aliens and I just liked him better.

Light armor with fast speed because Heavy armor doesn't make a difference If your too slow to attack your prey fast enough. And besides, the predators in pred 1 and 2 had light armor and it didn't make a difference.
