Hey Deathdrop

You probably don't remember but back in 2008 you said "I liked "Bloody Sands of Time" a lot. I'll elaborate later". Well I'm still waiting.

I appreciate the fact that the story, particularly towards the end, is more about World War 1 than it is about Predators. I also like the way the main characters dig through history to discover evidence of Predator activity.

It was a welcome break from the usual "Predators killing people in ____" stories we usually get, and opens the door for dozens of other potential stories. So yes, I still like it a lot.

I don't believe I've ever even heard of Bloody Sands of Time. Novel, comic, or what?

Speaking of old things and DeathDrop, whatever happened to that bendy straw of doom?

That was a very good reason and I am now interested in reading it myself

I have all of the older Predator comic series. I am going to have to pull BSOT out and read it again. I have all of the old Alien series as well. I stopped buying both series them when the stories started getting really absurd.

@Blackwarrior: It was one of the Dark Horse comics. It's in the Predator Omnibus, but you can probably find the trade paperback on Amazon or something.

But yeah, it's pretty interesting. Much slower-paced than most Pred stories, yet keeps the action moving. The art can be pretty iffy at times, but the writing is good enough to make up for it.

"whatever happened to that bendy straw of doom?"

It slumbers in Dread R'lyeh, awaiting the day when at last the stars will be right, and It may rise.
