shopping for the hive =D

well i already know i've told the members of the hive this, but i am planning on building my own hive. i know someone gave me some tips but i think that the topic was deleted so i'm making a new one on general where everyone can answer it :3 well i'm going shopping on friday and this would give me a chance to look for any supplies i could use. i have an old window i could use for something(if i can convince my mom) and a few old pipes. if you guys can give me some tips on what to use plz tell cause i'm going crazy over this :D i should have started building it eariler in the summer, but i had stupid school books to read, so PLEASE help me with this, im kinda in a rush cause i would like to finish it before school begins :)

yea but dry ice melts :/ i could just use a small fog machine or somfin :3

we couldnt find all teh supplies :( but i'm going to look around teh house to see if anything might be able to work as a base, then i could just cover it with paper mache and then whatever :3

Two things: DRY ICE. Lots of it. Plus the obvious stickyness and wetness. Get photos of wierd swamps(Google that) and try to recreate that sense of stickyness and wetness. AND DRY ICE >:)

there you go, fog machine cool, but it only works for a few seconds doesnt it? then the the vapor dissapears. and you ahve to wait till it shoots soem more. dry ice will continually produce vapor. just be careful with it.

cool trie useing that clay that you can bake and it turns hard or superglue...

i might use rubber cement to keep things together, it gives off a nasty smell too which is perfect since its the hive :3 i dont think my parents would want me using their super glue though lol(i have no clue why, but i'm afraid to ask) i could use clay, but does clay expire? :o

not sure i still have a cup i made a year ago the clay seems fine.

if you had to heat the clay up though then i wont be able to do it :(

just use the directions or go with whatever you think is cooler:)

Iv'e made my own hive it was kinda impressing

But i used Legos(I Used it for the inside-dont ask why)Clay Paint Leaves and Super Glue. I even put in a few eggs and the Queen :)

lol i cant use super glue, but frozen can lololol, but actually frozen thats not a bad idea, i might even try that cause i have tons of legos i dont even use. but i would like it to be a bit more sturdy, like more metal then anything else.
