AVP. The good and bad bits!

While AVP wasn't the blockbuster I thought it would be , there were good moments and bad. I'd like to hear from you guys....what was crap and what blew you away!

I'd say the highlight of the film for me was the slug-fest between 'Celtic' Predator and the super xenomorph mr.'grid'. That was a most rightous duel!

Lowpoints would be the actual pred face of scar, really badly done. You could really tell it was a mask in some scenes. and the super-hero cape worn by the elders at the end....very silly!

And heres a new one when grid's on top of celtic and his body starts moving like a robot, God damn it wish I was the one hired to make the movie now I'd do everything for the fans.

GRID vs CELT was one of the highlights i totally agree, also the emergence of the queen (she was massive) predators looked great, loved the face plate designs and the extra long wrist blades, the film could have been fleshed out more with a few better charachters but in all, it wasnt that bad. the book is great, go get the novel, far more detail and more predators. (5)

Oh yes! Very easy on the eye! Some of those scenes with her climbing over the walls was very nice ;)

worst point? lex and scar. some of those scenes looked like they were about to hug eachother.

Hahaa.....so true! Don't you love the 'batman & robin' shot of them running from the explosion.

oh mate, hehe, reminded me of baywatch!! though i suppose lex wouldnt have got out if it wasnt for scar, but the real question is, would we care? shes no ripley, better looking, yes.

i thought the movie was great in lots of aspects there werent as many bad things as people say there were but thats just my opinion

another good part - the army of aliens scaling the pyramid to get to the predators.

Da good: Alien vs. Predator! Chestbusting! FIGHTING! Explosions! The elder pred(he looked friggin' cool) and the new pred wepons. And Grid. And Celtic's mask. And Lex.... She...was...HOT!!!!!! The qween was cool too.


Da bad..... Virtually everything else...

(sigh) Well, it was a disapointment to me if anything, but the fights were kinda cool. For part 2, we need a new directer(Wes Craven!) New writer (no suggestions there...) New actors (The Rock, Vin Dissil, Halle Berrie, Denzel Washington, Robin Williams(as a scientist dude) a few others...) SFX should be done by the guys who did the LOTR trilogy.

I loved the movie. Pred looked like such a badass. I couldnt believe it when the human helped the pred. I was speechless....simply speechless. I touched myself to be honest for about 2-6 hours.

lol Ok guys lets get back to the topic. One ups for me would me the queen and her followers running through the hall. That really shows off her enormous size. The downer would be how quickly the fight ended between the queen and the pred/human battle.

I can`t remember many detailes... Haven`t seen it in a long time... Even though it`s been on HBO just yesterday tststs... I`ll watch it again this week and post here again. Even so, it`s not like it was as bad as the Newborn!
