I copied and pasted the exact code that appeared in her sig and it embedded the image, so obviously, everything was written exactly right.

The image could have been relocated, stuff like that.
But it's strange since it's a link to a site.
there could have been some changes on the site though.

You could try to put some structure in it by for example leave the href code out of it since it is just a link that points you to photobucket.
But it works now so no sweat :)
