I love how it still retains a sort of Asian look/sound. That was one thing I thought was going to be messed up - even the effects look great. Maybe this won't be so bad after all.

I'm at least glad there weren't any furries or aliens in the series that could mess up a live-action film. The closest thing to that was Momo and he never actually spoke, if you don't count Aang's hallucination.

I read in a youtube comment that two of the people who worked on Avatar are also helping with this movie. Is that right?

Maybe. That sounds like it could be true.

I hope they get Sokka right. If his lines/jokes aren't funny and/or way too forced I'm going to punch someone.
