Running AVP2 in Direct X8

Hey, sorry for all the questions :P
Just wondering if there is a way to run it in DX 8, I did that for CS and that improved performance greatly, help greatly appreciated!

When I installed AVP2, it asked me during the installation process whether I wanted to install DiretX 8. Your verison maybe different I don't know.
