It's claimed that the pyramid will move every ten minutes because the Aztec calendar is based on the metric system. Modern measurement of time (60 seconds for every minute) is not based on the metric so there would be less time to every minute based on modern measurement than to every minute if it was based on the metric system. This means that the pyramid would move every sixteen minutes.
