question about avp.

this is the thing i don't get. during that scene in the warehouse the predators came in there cloaked and were killing the humans. what i don't get is that one of the predators threw a spear and pinned a human to a wall. but the spear was cloaked even when it left the predator. WTF?! could someone explain to me? thanks.

It was really done just for "cool" effect. There are plenty of unexplained continuity errors such as this. Eg. in the first 2 Predator movies, the wristblades would become visible when extended, but were cloaked in the AVP films. I'm pretty sure even Anderson pointed out that he overlooked continuity for the "cool factor" in the DVD commentary.

Also stalker, Anderson based a lot of the movie effects of the avp comics, which included the cloaked wristblades and such.
