As many different types as there are animals on earth or other species in space.... remember that when a face hugger dives on an opponent the outcome will enherit atrributes from the original host ..... like a great white sahrk alien ......
So your question has two answers
1 If your willing to call aliens bred from different hosts "Different" then your really asking how many specias are there that a hugger can use... and the answer is lots
2 No different types .... aliens bred from different hosts are still aliens from thier hive with the exact same mindset ..... on the othere hand the queen would certainly be classed as different from a drone likewise the hugger would to
