Basicly the creators of the alien meaning the film people needed the aliens to be killers makes the sci-fi movie a horror movie too...

(But aliens will always be hunted down by my kind... so dont worry!)

it's just what they do, their nature is all about the survival of their species, and their life cycle alone(facehugger-chestburster) requires them to take life. In order for them to survive and grow, they must consume the lives of others.

Also, they're just like humans in the sense that they are alwpreading, and conquering when they get the chance.
