what are the walls of the hive made out of?

well i've always wondered this, and i had the suspicion that it was made out of the remains of the hosts, but i dont know. do you guys have any idea?

The resin is secreted from the dorsel horns.Some people beleve they breathe though them but I think they breathe thuogh their mouth hence why they hiss

The dorsal tubes are filtration units which help fuel the alien - it has an open circulatory system and does not possess lungs as humans do. No creature that relies on oxygen could survive in space without the aid of technical inhancements, the aliens have a totally different bio structure than we do and have the ability to sustain harsher environments without loss of life.

they are made out of a resin that is secreted by drones from their mouth, but I have also heard that it may be secreted from their dorsal tubes

its alien vomit that the drones can bring up at will and it hardens quicly into a darck semi transparent resen typ material
