alien producers stupid idea for avp

im not trying to criticize anyone but i read in a magazine that the alien seris producer said that :
the aliens and the preds needed a conection, his conection was that the last evolution of the alien was a pred.

i personally think that would have been a bad idea
if there was another evolution what do u think it would be???????
