The pred wouldn't spot it because it was extremely sneaky and plus the predator in pred 1 had very few weapons and I doubt his wristblades are acid-proof because at that time the idea for AVP wasn't even thought of and thus if the drone leaps on him he wouldn't be able to hold on and about his bomb, the drone would definately be able to destroy it (Glover boy did it)

well the wristblade could make some damage and then he could use his plasmacaster,

he would spot the drone cuase it was slow,doesnt matter how sneaky he was-thermal visions plus more,

plus his plasmacaster could shoot for a long time and not ran out,

even if he did lose he had his bomb
