  A new featurette for the upcoming AvP movie is available at Apple waebsite: The Making of the Creatures. It describes some of the techniques used for creating the creatures.



  Tom Woodruff:


  "This is the gauntlet and the duel bladed weapon that the predator wares on its arm. Paul Anderson had us increase the length of its blades so now they soot at four times as long as we seen them before."


  "This is the laser cannon, we're also going to have different calibres of these laser cannons. A larger one and even a larger one that the main character uses."


  "… the idea is that there is a whole hunting clan of predators and we want to give them a little differentiation from one character to the next."


  "The hero alien is a combination of hydraulic and animatronics."



  Paul Anderson:


  "We have a really fantastic hydraulic alien that works in this picture … its technologically very advanced."


  "The hydraulic alien will only be in half a dozen shots in the movie but those shots are going to be fantastic."
