Black Liquid Theory

So we all know about the blak liquid. As far as we can tell, it "evolves" life. This does not explain the difference between the space jockey and the scientists reaction to it. My theory (attempts) explains that.

In the begining of Prometheus, we see a lone space jockey drinking a black substance. It seems to dissolve him- taking his DNA and spreading it into the water. Later, we see our mutated scientists, reacting quite differently. Why?

Simple. The liquid requires DNA from an organism (dissolving them in the process) and then inserts it into another organisms DNA. This evolved the early apes into humans. What did the black liquid of LV 223 contain? Xenomorph DNA. So when it was introduced into humans we got the deacon- part human, part xeno, all monster.

The liquid clearly has adverse effects on the inital host (but not the offspring)- so we can assume that either the primates had those same conditions, or the black liquid was spread thinly, so evolution was gradual.


What do you think? Does this explain why the liquids behaved differently?
