I'm a huge fan of the spin off television show Angel (Buffy spinoff). In this show there is a large company who secretly runs the world. At the start of the episode they did a joking 1960's add for the company. They were going over the company they sponsor and BAM. One of the names was Weyland yatuni. I jumped out of my seat in fits of laughter. Something so small that would fly over most peoples head was probably the coolest references I've seen.

Never watched Angel, but I like Buffy. But I know the feeling; whenever I catch a reference that no one else gets, I smile to myself as if I just cured cancer, or something.
