As I mentioned in a different topic, without sounding arrogant, but it seems after my departure, the rules were kind of brushed aside. Those who know me and who have been around since the beginning, or there of, will know I have rarely buckled or bent on the rulings we created - members need to realise that although this is a very laid back forum, repeat offenders or people who veer off the tracks and show no respect to others and especially moderators will be dealt with.

If people have problems with the rules or specific rules, then feel free to discuss, we're open to change.

Well this is how i see it (but i'm kinda extreme in this matter)...

There are no rules present on this forum.

I can't even remember a time where a mod said. "user you are warned"
I intentionally broke the rules to a limit that went past that laid back line, and everyone seems to accept it? ... O_o

I never saw this so called "warning" at all. Laid back is nice but wtf there are limits.

The only known way to get banned is being a pervert. This forum is ridiculous and should be more strict (just a tiny bit so the laid back status will remain unharmed).

I agree on some of your points.

As I said - I am now back, and will continue where I left off. I was given a responsibility many years ago by P of being the head Mod on this site, and it's never been something I've taken for granted nor lightly. The moderating crew are also now becoming more active as the site once again gains more traffic, this can only lead to good things.

I'm a little upset to hear things became slack around here, but I can certainly understand it as the Mod crew was severely limited and member activity was at an all time low, the rules became lax to keep what little attention there was left, allowing people to push the boundaries in order to keep people visiting, again, the few Mods left active did a great job keeping things together as best they could, it's not a small task.

This site has never been ridiculous, A lot of hard work and effort goes on behind the scenes to keep this place going - but more importantly, it's down to the members to keep things ticking over also. For those who think this place is a shadow of what once was, I suggest looking inward and realising for every off topic comment members post, you could be contributing elsewhere on this forum, focusing on what the site is really about.

It's not as black-and-white as you're drawing it here, Shadowwall. And it's not like the state of things here on the board were anarchistic in the past.

Despite the ongoing feud between you and DW, things were actually pretty peacful around here.
