Anyway, so I was eating that banana, and I hear a buzzing noise near my window, so I looked outside, and there was this kid running around in circles making a flying noise or whatever the hell it was.

Sort of a MLIA kinda moment.

German press speaks of 3 reactores with damaged cooling systems and traces of nuclear radiation around another one: Tōkai, Fukushima 1&3 and Onagawa.

Japan has such a high density of population, a true worst-case scenario. Imagine a radiactive cloud makes it to a Mega-City like Tokio, which isn't very far away. God damn.

The safety of nuclear power plants are a very controversial topic in local politics and public, and now the first politicans from both sides begins to use this event to preheat their next election campaign. Stupid fuckers.

The death toll is something like 10,000 last I heard, and there are underground trains filled with passengers that they can't even locate. It makes Katrina look like a bad rainstorm.

Woah, that video shows how insignificant humanity and their creations are. Just look at that shit, the nature could flush away everything we've ever built in a blink of an eye. Let's hope the bulk of this catastrophe is over now, so the casualty count doesen't has to be corrected upwards again. But i think they've prognosed another hefty aftershock for the next few days.

Hopefully the waves and aftershocks die down so they can concentrate on getting those reactors under control.

Aftershock today was over 6 degrees, which is extremely bad in these conditions. I keep thinking of my friends here, what it must be like to go to a different country and return to find that everything you knew was torn apart while you were gone.

^ That really sucks (bit of an understatement, I know). I hope things get better for them and for everyone else. If there's a silver lining in all this, Japan's disaster relief is supposed to be very efficient.

Small consolation, I know, but it's something. I've seen some pretty cool stories of people helping each other, so at least they're keeping their spirits up despite everything.

EDIT: Now a volcano erupted. Jesus Christ.
