in the rpg thing about improving your skills it said something about weapons breaking eventually. When would be a good time for a weapon to break? i mean how or how much could a weapon take before breaking?

ocasions like stabing an alien with a non acid proof weapon would result in the weapons destruction

Predator weapons are made out of a extreme strong metal, so I wouldnt worry about them breaking to soon, but yes in certain situations a weapon could be broken, like any real battle.
