What do you consider the Xenomorphs and the Predators?

What do you consider the Xenomorphs and the Predators to be like(animal-wise)? 'Cause i was remembering when I saw AvP, they discribed the Aliens as "Serpents". I allmost laughed at that.
Well, here is what I think
Alien(s): Insects
Predator(s): Lizards
I just wanted to see what you guys think. I know most of you are gonna say somthing along the lines as me on the subject of the Xenomorphs.

I think an alien would be a class of its own, but its reproductive cycle was roughly based on a kind of wasp.

Hmmh, how about extraterrestrial life forms? lol I mean you really cant say do you consider them as lizards, serpents or insects, they are their own speacies and families. But yeah, they have some similar features to the animal kingdom simply 'cos human mind isn't intelligent enough to invent something really "out of this world". Always the creatures just show the other side of us.

Predators = Raptors
Or in case it has to be preasent-day animals then for Predators = Komodo Dragons.
