would you count the books to be canon?

my question is would you count some of the books to be cannon information? i mean i have only read Aliens: earth hive but it seems rather well thought out stuff. i just want to ask your guys oppion

Yeah, it does. Putting it before Alien is cool. But all that stuff in it isn't. I agree, many of the books have information that are true to the species, while others *cough* Forever Midnight *cough* are good, but they just screw some things up.

The books I have read were certainly more cannon than the AVP movie, which I did like, but I can't help but agree it screws up the continuity of the series.
